At the front, there’s a traditional for EVs closed-off grille, C-shaped LED DRLs and bold creases that suggest performance. Around back, the wraparound tail lamps and sculpted bumper pick up on the dynamic, angular theme.
Unlike most run of the mill SUVs you see on the road in India, the BE. 06 is not hiding the fact that it’s a modern car for buyers who wish for their car to be special, an eye-catching machine.
Simple is High-Tech Inside
Inside, the BE. 06 should have a clean and simple cabin, anchored by dual widescreen displays — one for the instrument cluster, and the other for infotainment.
The dashboard will be stripped of buttons and most controls will be touch or haptic tactile systems.
Top tier seat trims, mood lighting and green materials are also likely, to reflect the car’s environmentally-conscious design. The dedicated EV architecture provides a flat floor that contributes to more legroom and a more open cabin feel.

Powertrain and Performance
Although Mahindra has not released official technical specs at time of publication, the BE.
06 is expected to come in single- and dual-motor variants with rear- and all-wheel drive setups. Power would be in the region of 170–250 bhp which would see it offering if not, a brisk pace both on acceleration and cruising speed.
Battery size is estimated to be between 60-80 kWh which gives a realistic range of 400-500 km on one charge.
DC fast charging will also be supported, with a 0–80% charge taking less than 40 minutes depending on the charger.
Performance-wise, the BE. 06 is so versatile that it can be used for both city driving and long drives.
The next generation platform enables good weight distribution, low center of gravity as well as special chassis dynamics much improved compared to traditional SUVs.
Safety and Technology Advance
Mahindra, wants safety to become a key focus of its EV strategy.
The BE. 06 is expected to get 6–7 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, and high-tensile steel body structure that is compliant with new global safety regulations.
Up-level trims presumably will offer ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot detection.
That would mean a head-to-head fight with premium EVs already sold around the world.
