Powering the Mahindra Scorpio N are two engine choices – a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol unit and a 2.2-litre diesel. Both are offered with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
Especially the diesel engine has a nice punchy torque and enj isy on highways, and confident during offroad.
The new suspension setup, which features a Watt’s linkage at the rear, means the ride quality has improved massively. The Scorpio N feels more settled at high speeds, and body roll is relatively well controlled for a ladder-on-frame SUV.
The steering is light for low speed work, and weights up nicely at highway speeds, making the Seicento easy to navigate in the city and on the highway.
Technology and Features
The Scorpio N comes with tons of 21st-century tech. It features a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, built-in navigation and voice command.
It also comes with a sunroof, cruise control, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and several drive modes in the 4×4 versions.
Some users have having some weird stuff happening to the infotainment system — like lag and unresponsiveness.
With that said, we’ve seen Mahindra to release ‘n’ number of software updates to fix such issues.
Safety Features
Safety has been given a high priority on the Scorpio N, which gets six airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD, hill hold and hill descent control, ISOFIX child seat mounts and a strong body shell with crumple zones.
